Anybody have the Wildgame IR4 game camera. I just got one and it would not take my picture the motion light would go on but it would not actually take a picture. I took it back and the next camera does the same thing. Anybody have the same problem? I was trying to save a little money and I guess I learned my lesson.

A buddy of mine has had the same problem and says they are junk. Be prepared to spend at least $200 for a decent camera.

Yeah I have a couple other cameras that do well but I was trying to save a couple bucks because I will be putting this camera in a area that gets a few bad seeds around and I didnt want to dump a bunch of money in a camera that would take wings. Well I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and fork over some dough.

Hm, I have not had an issue with mine. Can't believe that two of them are doing the same thing

I bought a Wild Game at a Conference I attended this year. It was cheap and I figured I would try it. It's not the IR. It works OK but goes through batteries every couple of weeks. I found that it is important to use a weedeater to keep it from taking a lot of windy day pics. Also, don't position it anywhere near trees with blowing branches or weeds. It does have a slow shutter speed but is acceptable.

It's not anywhere close to being as good as my old Cuddeback.

I also bought a Cabelas brand Moultrie a couple of years ago. I have never been sure that it was going to work when I set it out. I'll never buy another Moultrie.

I have 3 of the IR4's, so far no problem. Batteries lasted 2 weeks so I added a 6 volt recharable feeder battery and a solar panel charger. Now "0" battery problems. The warmer the temps get the more pic's it takes of nothing but if the temps stay below 70 there is no problem. Overall takes good still pics day and night. On video mode , it is kinda neet to see deer in action. I think for $89 bucks it is worth it.

I've got the Wildgame IR 4.0's and have been very happy with them. The only issue I have had is that the afternoon sun can make the feeder/feeder legs hot enough to trigger pics. The first 3 days I had one of the cameras out I had about 50 pics of nothing but the feeders during the mid day sun. Moved the camera back a bit more and the problem went away.

It doesn't do real well in the fog, but which ones do.

They've held up to some really good rains.

I have the camo versions and they blend in well enough that I got a bunch of pics of 2 strangers messing with the feeders. They never even saw it and were 6 to 8 feet away.

Here are some examples of the picture quality. It would be nice to have temp. info on it though....
