Last dec i left my boat card and license in my truck got stoped by the gw on gibbons creek and got a ticket no biggie . the next wk i took of a day drove to jp in grimes county with my license and ticket got it dismissed never heard anything till today almost a year later. A letter from a lawyer/ collection agency in roundrock saying i owe grimes county 221 bucks and that i need to pay through them ? To me this sounds a little hinky first off the mispelld my name , and why in a year did i never get any kind of corrispondence till now. Anybody ever get anything like this

I took care of an inspection sticker ticket and 6 years later find out I have a warrant in Dallas county. Cost $250 for a $40 ticket that was taken care of...

I had a similar situation happen I paid the fine 2yrs later got pulled over by some troopers and bam a warrant popped up for a ticket I paid 2yrs ago, thank god the troopers listened to me my story they called in to Ft.Worth and found out that I did pay and that they never cleared my name you could be in the same boat bud

Same happened to my son, and he had receipts for when he paid the ticket, cleaned up in no time.

See it almost everyday. Save your reciepts or your court papers. Alot of people are put in the system , some with similar names and some use your identity.
