I had seen this deer on camera and wanted her taken out for two reasons, but I thought it was two different deer. Come to find out the same deer had two issues. The first was a picture I posted a while back of a deer with a leg injury, but when we shot her I didn't know this was the one with the leg injury. The reason we picked her was because of the large lump on her neck. So we go both of the deer we where after with one shot. We saw 4 does tonight, this was not the oldest one, but I felt it was the right one to take out. He shot her with a .243 at about 60 yards, and she went about 40 yards. Blood at the site he shot her at, but no other blood until where she fell. Unfortunately she was only 2.5.

Leg injury from a previous shooter. Not us.

Perfect heart shot.

Thanks guys, he sure is proud. Love seeing the kids so happy. Wish my oldest boy shared his love of hunting. This is his 3rd deer so far.

AWESOME Brad....Congrats to the boy....you can let Harley shoot...he just has to be OUT OF HIS CAGE, and you HAVE TO LOAD THE GUN OUTSIDE....LMAO...can't wait to get back up that way guys!! OHH was that cut on the leg from a broadhead like we may have thought, or just a fence or something?

LMAO, definitely load it outside for him.

Looking forward to having you out again. The hogs have vanished again like they do for every deer season.

Whatever you do don't give that crazy monkey a gun, it's dangerous enough as it is!!! bolt

Tell Dillon congrats for me, that's some great shooting. Glad you got her, didn't look like she had luck on her side.

Thanks Matt. At least someone on here knows harley should not have a gun.

Yeah, I felt bad for the poor thing. She was only 2.5, and one with her was older but I felt bad for this one. Figured leave the older healthy one for next year. Well the rest of the does on my place are safe till next year, we are just hunting for mature bucks. If we see any.

Was she lactating? The doe Scott took a month ago wasn't and she was 3.5, thought that was kinda odd, coyotes, didn't get bred who knows.

No, she wasn't. He was about ready to pull the trigger on a doe with a fawn when she came flying out of the woods. When I saw it was the one with the lump on her neck I told him to shoot her instead. She did not have a fawn with her.
