Well adult good is cheaper so I would go with that unless the pup is under 4 m or so.

Better how? You will get lots of different opinions on what is better

I used to feed Pro Plan but have switched over to Eukanuba. It is more expensive than the Nutro you're feeding but IMHO it is much better. I've got a lot of time and money invested in my dogs and I'm not going to feed them anything less than the best.

We've been feeding Diamond to our GSP's going on 14 years.
Premium quality without a premium price.

Diamond is the way to go. Switch your puppy to the Large Breed Puppy http://www.diamondpet.com/products/diamo...d_rice_formula/

At one year or so of age I then switched to http://www.diamondpet.com/products/diamond_naturals/dogs/dry_food/extreme_athlete/

Both my Labs have very shiny coats, maintain weight (I actually feed less than what is recommended on the bag) and have solid stools.

+1 on the Diamond Extreme Athlete. I feed it to my Brit and Pointer, they like it and do very well on it.

Red Flannel. For years, our dogs had been on Purina Pro Plan. Then several years ago, Purina sold their name to Nestle and it affected our dogs' weight and performance. We subsequently found out that Nestle took the name, but did not maintain the quality of the formula. Purina Mills continues to make high quality dog food under the names of Red Flannel and PMI Exclusive. Of these, Red Flannel is the least expensive, but does GREAT for our dogs.
