Thanks guys, he sure is proud. Love seeing the kids so happy. Wish my oldest boy shared his love of hunting. This is his 3rd deer so far.

Whatever you do don't give that crazy monkey a gun, it's dangerous enough as it is!!! Tell Dillon congrats for me, that's some great shooting. Glad you got her, didn't look like she had luck on her side.

Thanks Matt. At least someone on here knows harley should not have a gun.
Yeah, I felt bad for the poor thing. She was only 2.5, and one with her was older but I felt bad for this one. Figured leave the older healthy one for next year. Well the rest of the does on my place are safe till next year, we are just hunting for mature bucks. If we see any.

Was she lactating? The doe Scott took a month ago wasn't and she was 3.5, thought that was kinda odd, coyotes, didn't get bred who knows.

No, she wasn't. He was about ready to pull the trigger on a doe with a fawn when she came flying out of the woods. When I saw it was the one with the lump on her neck I told him to shoot her instead. She did not have a fawn with her.

Thanks, I feel the same way.
The funny part is after he shot the fawn hauled arse. The mom ran down the four wheeler pass, and then turned around and came back. I had to get out of the stand and walk to her before she ran off. Dylan kept telling me to shoot her. I told him no, we killed 2 does and that is it.

Thanks Joe. Yes the movement has picked up big time. Seeing around an average of 4 deer at each hunt now. Getting lots of pics on cams also. Starting to see some bucks on cam again, but small ones and only at night right now. Hoping that changes soon. I have seen no rut activity yet, maybe I missed it, but I have been hunting every day for the last 2 weeks.

Thanks, we are trying our best to only kill the amount we need to kill, and to kill the ones that should be killed. It is kind of tough sometimes for the kids. But I think they feel more of an accomplishment once they succeed.

Looking forward to having you out again. The hogs have vanished again like they do for every deer season. And you are complaining?? LOL we don't have to hunt, we can start clearing brush for next year!!

Yeah I'd be curious to see the lump... if it was a tumor or something else.

Hey, could you tell if that cut was a broadhead miss or maybe she got caught in a fence or something...Ryan made me think of an Idea too...Maybe we could train Harley to ride one of the dogs around the perimeter of your place with a couple of six shooters on a little saddle?!?!

Could not tell, the meat under is was undamaged. So it must have been torn. I tell you what you bring your gun, and you give it to harley when I am out of range.

Well done and good shot to your son. What was the growth? Thanks, I have no idea what it was. I didn't cut it open or anything, but it was a very firm bump. Not hard, but not soft either.
