Sry guys, dang phone died, along with the battery for the camera. We saw 6 bucks all where between 7 and 10points ranging from 60"-140". I chose to take a 3 yr old 8 point, it was a great example of a managment deer on this ranch. She was tickled to get the opprotunity to harvest a buck. When he came out I knew it was "the deer" for her. It cams out at about 150yds and we let it work it's way to us bc I knew it would bc of the 7 does infront of us, sure enough ten minutes later he presented a great broadside shot. She took the .308 off safety, put the crosshairs on his shoulder, took a deep breath, and gently squeezed the trigger. The buck rared up and took off, a whole 40yds!! We waited 15 minutes and got down to recover him, I saw him once we got on the ground piled up in a cedar, but she didn't so I walked to the spot where she shot to look for blood, I decided to be mean and take her the wrong way and looked for blood, which there wasn't of course, this is when she got worried, I mean real worried. I couldn't take it any more and said hey look at that.. There's a dead deer. She walked/trotted over and got here hands on him. She was just thrilled. I will post pics in the am!
