That is up there with the great upland mounts Eugene puts out. Very nice looking scene, and let's face it anytime a person can make fall plumage ptarmigan look nice that right there is something to brag about!

Eric, it was a good trip this year...I shared some Woodie secrets of mine with Eugene and he shared Upland secrets of his with me...I will never be able to mount upland like him, but damned if I won't keep trying smile I've got big plans for a Ruffed Grouse Mount for competition next year...and get this, those ptarmigan were only about 10% pin feathers..surprisingly, they were actually in very good condition. We mounted an Atlantic Brant for the same client that was especially pinned up, but it came out nicely laying on a rock as well.
