Hi I am new to your forum and have been checking it out for a few days. I would like to get to know you guys and I would like you to get to know me. I've been hunting with my family since I was a child and it has become a passion that has further developed into adulthood. I hunt every year for deer and elk in WY and sometimes UT. I have also had a few opportunities to hunt other animals in other areas. A few months ago I came across a contest that asked for you to write an essay explaining why you are a hardcore woman hunter. I decided to send an essay in just for fun. Well I just recently found out that I was chosen to be one of the top ten finalists in the world. In order for me to win now I have to get public votes. I am very new to the forum world and have joined a few since I found out about the contest. I have made some amazing friends all over the world due to these forums. I hesitate to jump in like this but the only way I can get the word out that I need help with votes, is to go to large public areas and introduce myself. Thanks again guys...also outdoor channel said today that Texas is the best place to hunt whitetail and I have never gotten one. Where is a good place?

Ok I voted because the elk scat rubbing is way extreme even for my experiences.

If you have big $$$$ then the obvious answer would be south Texas if you looking for giant bucks!

For a more affordable hunt I would say somewhere in the hill country! For the most part the bucks arnt as big, but there are PLENTY of deer to choose from!

Hunting in Texas aint cheap though and public land is scarce!
