Ive got a dry creek on my place with a ton of green grass... I take my lawn mower out there a few times a year and mow the creek bottom. Everytime i mow it, i see a lot more deer and all the axis come out to eat on it
Not that this will help you much but really they tend to pattern every week or so and "bro-n-law" is right. Wait till it gets colder thats when they move more to feed on corn. They eat foliage so when it dies out in the winter they go to corn. This is why food plots work. Use the apple scented corn because they also have a bit of a sweet tooth. Alfalfa is sweet smelling and green so they do eat this also. I am going to get some pelleted alfalfa and stick it on one of my feeders to see if it will feed them on a regular basis this spring. It might help one of my two herds lol.
I have seen this wor numerous times and use it my self. If you just hit it quick, it osunds justl ike the bark of an axis doe. I have had bucks and does both come into this call.
