deer2
I shot this buck this morning trailing a doe. They were the only deer I saw the whole weekend. His tarsal glands were getting worked over. He dressed at 126.3 lbs, the biggest buck I have killed yet!!!

Very nice buck. I'm in Young also. Bucks are cruising and looking but no chasing. Only saw one deer all week end.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Very, very nice! I too am in Young. Heard a few shots, saw a few deer but just does and young bucks - nothing shootable. Until the hogs came out, Young has at least one - maybe two less of those now.

Yeah what is funny is when I took the hog to Cleark Fork last night, it was the FIRST one this weekend. I would have thought there would have been several.

I hope AR's work out. Of all the deer they had there only 2 were bucks (one was a massive 20 point non-typical) - everything else was a doe.

I don't know why, but every year (this is the 3rd one I've been on the place) my turkeys leave shortly before opening weekend. Who said Turkeys are dumb? smile

Nice buck. I did not hear much shooting around my place in Loving. I think about 7-10 more days we will have some deer moving.
