Looking good Matt. It's hard to get that green to show up on a Mallards head for pics, can see it pretty well.

I have to wait until the sun is just right to get it to illuminate the areas a hunter will see out in the field, then snap away. As you can see, no shot damage to that bird.

You do beautiful work. I've yet to see one of your mounts that I would not be proud to hang on the wall.

That sir, may be the best compliment I've had all year. Thanks very much!

Lots of guys can do a good job on a shoulder mount, but it's rare to see such quality on birds. Keep posting those pics!

That mallard is awesome! I had been thinking about picking out a greenhead to maybe get mounted this year and I think that just made up my mind. I guess you get stuff in from all over the state?

Thanks for checking out the work smile...I used to be open to shipped birds from all over the US but it just became too much work for one guy. Now I only accept shipments from within the State of Texas. It seems to work out very nicely with about 75% of the clients that send birds to me frozen. When the mounts are ready the clients pick them up when they come through for Thanksgiving or Christmas, Football games, another hunt, etc. If that's not possible, I ship them back UPS ground. - Matt

Well I just took care of the hard part...got the go ahead from the wife. She was a little skeptical until she saw some pictures and that solved it. Is it better to drop off a bird as opposed to shipping it frozen? I'm about 3 hours away but make it through dfw occasionally. Just wondered what's better or if it matters. I'll definitely be trying to pick out a good bird.

I think if we add some nice habitat the wife might even let you display it in the livingroom smile Either is ok, whatever is easiest on you. Let me know and I will PM the shipping instructions.
