I made a complete pass through on a hog and then the broad head and about 3 inches of my arrow went through a 3 inch thick mesquite tree. I ues to swear by Montec's, but not since then.

I personally don't shoot mechanical heads, but I really like Steel Force Sabertooths. They fly awesome, do sick damage, and have free lifetime resharpening via the company.

We had another Rage broadhead kill tonight. Why the guy hit it where he did, I don't understand. I will have to get the clarification of that in the morning when I talk to him. I was glad I we found it, I caped it out and came in to eat dinner and we hunt again in the morning.
Anyway, the arrow entered in the rear left leg, went thru all the way thru the lungs and penetrated thru the right front shoulder and broke off. I don't understand why he took that shot, but the arrow still had enough energy with that head to do that.
This was from a ground blind and the fallow ran about 70 yards.

I use the cheapest broadhead I can buy from academy. I believe they are adams broadheads and they come in a package of three for about $7.00. I have already shot two deer this year with them and they both died and left a good blood trail. Its moor about arow placement than it is the broadhead. I have been told that when you use cheap broadheads they don't fly straight but I have yet to have a problem.
