Can anyone direct me to a thread with pictures of hunting rigs? If not, post up pics of your calling rigs! I'm looking to build something for night hunting, and looking for some ideas. So If you got some pics, please post em (thanks)

You run spotlights from down low on the beast, or does somebody on top work them?

We use light force lights that are mounted to the scope that way the sorry sob that's running the light is you so you have no excuse for moving the light the wrong way when the critter moves. Plus this way we run tow lights one front and one back so we don't miss anything coming in the back door while we're shining up front. The third chair is for the Shotgun guy who cleans up all the close charging stuff. Works really well

Here are some of the Beast We've done work to it since then but these are the only pics I have Ill get some pics of mine...the chairs are set up individually kind of like this one but in the bed of the pickup. I can take my chairs off and the base is lower than the cab and catches 0 wind. Works really good for traveling.

I took a bunch of pictures of the rigs at the Graham contest earlier this year just to get some ideas. Click on the picture to open a slideshow in Photobucket of all the rigs. This is my rig. It is for sale $595 (truck not included). I hunt by myself and it does me no good. I can't drive, run the light, call, and gun all by myself. Everyone else on my lease is scared of the dark. I can't get anyone to hunt with me at night. It's at the lease in Young County now.

The chairs on The Beast have 2" threaded pipe for bases that screw into 2" pipe collars to hold them down. That way I can put up all three chairs or just one depending on who is with me and if I'm traveling they go in the back out of the way so they don't take out any drive thru awnings

I hear you on the lights, but aren't those force lights pretty pricey? As for the tow lights, how do you use those? you cycle them on and off?

Thanks for all the pictures, I got some good ideas. I too hunt alone from time to time, and need something I can use alone. A buddy and myself built a rack similar to yours and it works good, when you have several guys hunting (just not so good alone).

I hear you on the lights, but aren't those force lights pretty pricey? As for the tow lights, how do you use those? you cycle them on and off? \ Two lights not TOW one of these days I've got to learn to spell you would think that college education would work every now and then As to the Lightforce lights yes they are more money but IMHO they are worth every penny. I have had WAY to many critters get away because the light guy moved the light about the time I was ready to shoot. Once I got the rifle mount gun lights problem solved. The real question is what is a 30lb cat in the truck worth. IF it get's you one more in the truck it's well worth the extra $100 a Lightforce gun mount light will cost over a Q-beam (good lights) will cost you. Your call We run two batteries under the hood and have the rack wired for light plugs at every chair and a cut off in the cab to keep from running down the batteries between stands. Plus we constantly recharge both batteries while we are driving

nice, i noticed none of yall had seatbelts on ur top seats...ive done a lil hunting from similiar rigs, and i can tell u that a seat belt is not just a safety thing, it makes it way easier when driving through a pasture. ive been tryin to make a back seat for my mule, and seat belts will be on it, but thats because i haul arse gettin up close to my piggies.

If I'm stupid enough to get in your highrack while you haulass after piggies, I pray that I'm not stupid enough to strap myself to it! Because WHEN you take a turn with a much higher center of gravity and roll that sucker I want to be able to jump as far away from the carnage as possible. We have a highrack on ours and so does Jasb...we have seat belts on both of them for the kiddos we are however not naive enough to think that we can run and gun with that extra weight up there.
