My 43yr old eyes can't see any noticeable blemishes- I typically take above average care of my gear. Comes with the NF rings it is mounted in, so I haven't removed them. I also have never seen a scope come out of a set of rings without at least a mark or two where the rings were, but if that's something you think might affect your hunt, this might not be the one for you.
